Look who supports the deal
The proposed acquisition of Aquila by Great Plains Energy, the holding company of KCP&L, is designed to benefit everyone in some way, which is why it has received approval and/or support from individuals and organizations from the public and private sector at the federal, regional, state, and local levels.
In fact, the transaction has received all federal and state approvals required to close the transaction, except for the Missouri Public Service Commission. Among the approvals received to date:
- Great Plains Energy shareholders
- Aquila shareholders
- The Kansas Corporation Commission
- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
